I noticed that most of you are Mexican Americans, so you don’t know the hell of living in Mexico and being constantly afraid of the drug cartels.
In America you guys can go out and come back at 3 am, 4 am, while here, even adults are afraid of driving after midnight, afraid of being kidnapped, or afraid of being in the middle of a shooting. I, as a teen, hate this. We (teens) can’t go out, when we hang out we have to stay and leave in the morning or hang out early. I hate this. Also it sucks to stop going to some cool places because the Narcos like to go, or because someone was killed there.
Also, people that own business are continuously threatened by drug cartels. If the drug cartels notice that your business is running good, they tell you “Okay, so this is the deal, you pay the monthly fee or we kill you, and your family”
In politics the cartels also have a strong position. El Chapo financed the political campaign of the actual president, so, who´s on our side? We can’t go to the police, they are also involved with them. We only have ourselves.
So please, stop acting as if el Chapo is a good man. He is not. He killed people, he’s part of the cancer that is destroying our beautiful country.
